Materials:

Different color felt
A pin that is flat on one side to glue to the broach (you can find it at novelty stores and haberdashery)
A pencil
Different ornaments (beads, pearls, crystals)
All kinds of patterns. These patterns are going to be the shape of the pin. Don't worry if you don't have any patterns handy. You can make your own pattern and print it out on paper.

Scissors for fabrics
Glue for fabric

Instruction:


1. Put the pattern on the fabric and trace it with the pencil.		2. Cut out the fabric. Repeat this with different patterns and different color fabrics. Cut out the patterns in different shapes and sizes.


3. Glue the cut out fabric shapes together.		4. The different size of felt is what gives the brooch pin the 'solid' look.


5. This is what the brooch will look like with the layers of felt.		6. Add the ornaments of your choice. I prefer knick-knacks that are not made out of felt to give a contrast.


7. Turn the felt over and glue the safety pin to it.		8. And there you have it! Time to wrap the broach as a present!
