I thought of this birthday gift idea for my husband's 30th birthday. We were abroad for his birthday and there I gave him all the gifts I made at home.

One particular present I made excited my husband more then the others.

He talks about this present till this day.

This present has to do with our eldest son who is 4 years old. One thing that my son has in common with his dad is that they both love to sing.

I decided to make out of their love of singing a birthday present.

I call it Dads favorite singer.

Here is how to make the present:

1.Choose a song your husband loves. Better if your son knows the song or that it is easy to learn. (I chose the song "Change the world").

2.Check websites for playback for the song.

3.Let your son listen to the words of the song with and without playback

When my husband wasn't at home I practiced singing the song with my son for a month.

4.Next, I recorded my sons singing on the computer with our chosen song in playback. If you want to do this more professionally you can go to a recording studio.

Remember to let your son get to know the studio so he will feel comfortable to sing.

5.At the end of the recording I asked my son to say a few words to daddy for his birthday.

6.Copy/burn the song on a CD.

That’s it you're done!

Wasn't that easy?

Here is what I did with this present: while we were driving I put the CD with the recording on. My husband was so excited he stopped the car and listened. He was reduced to tears.

That was the highlight of my husbands birthday.
